"Old School" Hip-Hop

A group of rappers from the 1970's until the early 90's whose main purpose was to push the Hip-Hop music forward, to be heard, but not necessarily for profit.

Today it's much more commercialized

Today, when more and more Hip-Hop stars are being born, well commercialized, there isn't one Hip-Hop fan who doesn't want to go back to the 80's or 90's. when Hip-Hop was a way of life and not another mainstream of money making machine.

What is the origin of the Hip Hop music?

Hip-Hop music has a direct connection with the songs sang by African-Americans in Africa. This music was based on rhythmic patterns and singing. Mainstream

At the end of the 1970's hip-Hop began to spread to a wide audience and continued to do so through the 1980's. In the 90's Hip-Hop became mainstream, and remains so till today.
The rappers have turned into cultural heroes and their music is more popular than ever. The hip hop culture spreads all over the world.
