Hip Hop Freestyles -
Developing your own
personal style....

When we say freestyle what do we mean?
Exactly that literally, a free style.

The fun thing about freestyle is that it can't be taught or learned by copying someone's moves. Each individual dancer has his or her own personal style. When you perform, when you feel and breathe the style, only then is it truly your own. That's what the music can do to your body and soul; its energy flows through your veins to your arms and legs and is eventually expressed through your dance movements.

At first it will be difficult to understand what is your own style, but slowly you will discover some sort of rhythm pattern that repeats, and moves that make you feel alive. Then you start building. First you master moves that naturally reoccur, repeating over and over for a better result. Then you will have a collection of moves that you can 100% call your "babies." Afterwards you can develop your own personal style by learning set moves that you can learn here with us, and from there the sky is the limit.

So meanwhile pick something from our recommended music list, play it first in the car or wherever you want,
listen to different rhythmic patterns,
pick a style you like,
pick the songs you liked the most that made you keep coming back,
and then the moment will come,
play your choice on the stereo system,
make it loud enough,
and feel the rhythm flow into you,
you'll have fun,
you'll burn some calories,
you'll get rid of some stress,
and don't forget your main goal for which we are here, to develop your own personal style, "freestyle".
Like a dictionary of words that you created, your own dance language!
